Functional test engineer responsible for ensuring the quality of Pega-based applications across the development lifecycle.

Shift Timing (IST): 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a Quality Engineer within the Pega Center of Excellence ensuring quality across the development lifecycle.
- Perform functional, database, and API testing to validate business and technical requirements.
- Analyze complex workflows and identify quality risks.
- Design and execute detailed end-to-end test cases focusing on System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Validate data flow and system interactions across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams.
- Define test strategies, testing approaches, and schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Work independently and take ownership of testing deliverables.
- Identify defects, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive issues to resolution with clear communication.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Knowledge of Pega systems and testing practices is an added advantage.
Must Have Skills:
- Strong experience in Quality Assurance including functional, database, and API testing.
- Advanced database testing including data validation and query analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in requirements analysis, test strategy, and test planning.
- Ability to identify, document, track, and report software defects.
- Experience with defect management tools.
- End-to-end ownership of QA lifecycle including test design and execution.
- Experience with integration testing and end-to-end workflow validation.
- Experience designing and executing regression test suites.
- Ability to work independently in Agile environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
