Messaging Services, a middleware service provider processing over 33 billion in monthly messaging volume for 90 P1 vital business applications, requires skilled, India-based Administrator to maintain and support the platform operations

IBM Distributed MQ Support

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designing the infrastructure
  • Performing applications integration to the infrastructure
  • Supporting the testing process
  • Educating developers on application function
  • This is an admin role not a development role. This person will be working with developers to set up the infrastructure so developer can send and receive messages.

Providing product support

  • Serve as subject matter expert on IBM MQ/IIB, includes technical assistance to application developers on Middleware related problems.
  • Troubleshoot production issues application developers can't resolve;
  • Good problem solving and communication skill
  • Work with other teams to improve security, performance, back-up strategies and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications:

  • MQ Series experience is required, utilizing MQ version 9 preferred
  • Creation of Queue Managers, Queues, and other objects
  • Knowledge of high-available messaging platforms and ability to solution customer’s messaging needs
  • MQ patching and other housekeeping activities
  • Automating, configuring, installing MQ or other middleware
  • IBM IIB V10 experience is preferred
  • A background in related Linux operating systems and technology is required
