Experienced z System ISV Infrastructure Software Engineer responsible for installation, configuration, administration, and support of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) products running on the z Platform.

Requirements:
- SME-level knowledge of installation, administration, and support processes using SMP/E and z/OSMF.
- Strong proficiency with TSO and ISPF.
- Working knowledge of z/OS operations and system commands.
- Strong understanding of JCL and job stream creation.
- Knowledge of z/OS dataset configurations and allocation.
- Understanding of catalog processes and file systems including PDS, PDSE, and VSAM.
- Experience working with zFS and Unix commands.
- Experience working across multiple platforms including z/OS, Linux, and Windows.
- Knowledge of ITSM processes including incidents, changes, and service requests.
- Experience working with enterprise monitoring tools such as Omegamon, Mainview, TMON, MXG, and Splunk.
Experience Requirements:
- 15+ years of mainframe systems software experience supporting z Platform environments.
- Experience in large z Systems environments with multiple LPARs and SysPlex configurations.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting ISV products from vendors such as BMC, Broadcom/CA, and SAS Institute.
- Experience downloading, installing, configuring, and supporting multiple z Platform ISV software products.
- Experience creating and modifying zOSMF infrastructure installation scripts.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Ability to use AI tools to analyze system data and recommend solutions.
- Ability to use Microsoft 365 Copilot for documentation and communication.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and support ISV software on the z Platform.
- Automate installation and administration processes using zOSMF.
- Support disaster recovery environments and recovery procedures.
- Design and document technical solutions for complex systems.
- Generate documentation for operations teams and help desk support.
- Manage lifecycle of ISV software including installation, maintenance, and retirement.
- Apply vendor fixes including HIPER PTFs, service packs, and APAR updates.
- Analyze system issues and recommend improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support system incidents.
